On April 14, 2024 WRC&D invited Smile-A-Mile families from across the Wiregrass to join us for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. Smile-A-Mile’s mission is to provide hope, healing of the spirit and love for the whole family during the childhood cancer journey. Through year-round meaningful and educational programming, Smile-A-Mile helps those in Alabama who are affected by childhood cancer thrive during treatment and the years beyond.
Families were able to enjoy all that Landmark Park has to offer as well as a petting zoo, pony rides, and bounce houses. WRC&D’s hope behind this event was just to provide an opportunity for these children to come out and enjoy the park and spend time with their families.
WRC&D would like to thank Landmark Park, Alabama Ag Credit, multiple Young Farmers Associations across the Wiregrass, Rich Confections, B&B Inflatables, Premier Mobile DJ, and all of our other volunteers. This event would not have been possible without all of your help and support.
