The Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Development (WRC&D) Council recently hosted an exciting event at the Wiregrass Experiment Station, where grantees from Henry and Houston Counties presented their projects for the 2024 funding year. These projects, funded through partnerships with WRC&D, aim to address critical needs within local communities.
The Council extends its gratitude to the area’s legislative representatives, including Representative Rich Rehm, Representative Paul Lee, and Senator Donnie Chesteen, for their unwavering support in securing essential funding for local projects.
At the event, Representative Rehm shared his appreciation for WRC&D’s work:
“I enjoy coming to these events because I get to see where the rubber meets the road—how the funds are being spent in our communities. It’s rewarding to witness the real impact these grants have, and we hope to keep the momentum going by continuing to advocate for WRC&D and the people we serve.”
