With the final press events wrapping up across our ten-county region this January, Wiregrass RC&D is proud to officially release our 2025 Annual Report. This past year was one of our most active to date, resulting in a total of 118 funded projects that directly support local schools, first responders, and municipal improvements.
Throughout 2025, our team worked closely with local leaders to ensure grant funding reached the areas where it could make the most impact. The year’s efforts culminated in 52 educational grants, 54 general grants, and 12 area-wide grants, providing much-needed resources for everything from classroom technology to emergency equipment.
“We are incredibly grateful to our local legislators for their continued advocacy and for securing the funding that makes these projects possible. Their support allows us to serve as the ‘boots on the ground’—investing directly into the schools, first responders, and municipalities that keep the Wiregrass moving forward,” said Ronnie Davis, Executive Director of Wiregrass RC&D.
2025 Grant Highlights:
- Educational Support: 52 grants focused on enhancing the learning environment for our students.
- Community Infrastructure: 54 general grants supporting our local municipalities and first responders.
- Regional Impact: 12 area-wide grants providing benefits that reach across county lines.
With the 2025 grant cycle now officially celebrated and closed, Wiregrass RC&D looks forward to continuing this momentum into 2026.
